First Time Homebuyers
For many people, the process of buying a home may seem complex and intimidating. Knowing where to start, what to do and what to look out for may save buyers time and money when purchasing a home. In New Jersey, the definition of a first time home buyer is someone who has NEVER owned a home OR has not owned a home in the last three years.
This section of my website will cover the following important information in the home-buying process:
Step 1: Getting Started (Why buy a home, Assessing your financial situation, credit scores)
Step 2: Going Shopping (Shopping for a mortgage company, finding your dream home, choosing the right real estate professional)
Step 3: Making an Offer
Step 4: What Happens after the offer is accepted (Home Inspection, Title Search)
Step 5: Insuring Your Home
Step 6: The Week leading up to settlement (Settlement Statement, Utilities, Final Walk Through, Closing, Recording the Deed and Mortgage).
